Kahiem Rivera “Galápagos” Official Music Video (Directed by ACKYTOM)

“Galapagos” is a song named after the book “Galapagos” by Kurt Vonnegut which is a book named after (and taking place on) the “Galapagos” Islands which are the islands that Charles Darwin visited and upon observing the wildlife subsequently developed his theory of evolution.

The song was produced by my dear friend Vesa Beats with some found sounds and additional synths by me. It’s also drenched in layers of saxophone by another dear friend, Syl Dubenion. I played a 16 bar loop of the instrumental and made Syl do a 15 minute take which I then edited down & compiled into what you hear now (multiple Syl Dubenions absolutely wailing on the sax). He’s a good sport. This will be the first and only single off my first full length album in 5 years, aptly titled “How to Write Effectively (During a Slow Apocalypse)”.
